Humidity is the killer. Certainly in this country it's been 25 or so for the past few days, but the humidity is high 70 %'s. I note in Indianapolis it's about 51%.

LOL, well I begin to burn up at about 24 degrees, so for me 30+ degrees is unbearable.

Here (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) it is very dry. In comparison with the UK, cold feels nowhere near as cold and hot nowhere near as hot. -5c here is no problem at all, and neither is +25c. In the UK the former would be pretty chilly, and the latter getting uncomfortable. |

So humid here it's now raining. Does make it fresher as I agree, 25 degrees was uncomfortable here.

Anybody else concerned if it is a scorcher, the soft/medium tyres might choose to be a bad decision? I always believed the banking led to fairly high degradation, making the inclusion of the soft tyre somewhat interesting.

They should hold a race in Death Valley.
It'd be interesting; who'd die first - the cars or the drivers? Last one to fall wins the race. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0424 |

A bit off topic but when I crewed for Bruce Jensen in Atlantics we never had the air conditioner on in the motor home no matter how hot it was. BJ also owned a tropical plant business and spent umpteen hours in hot and humid greenhouses.
On really hot days near the end of the race he would be picking up places as the other drivers wilted. |

probably the first lizard to attempt to cross the track..... i agree though, make f1 cars perform in extremes, as well as this we could send them to a race track in sweden in mid winter with some studded tyres, i spannered up there this year on the rally and i think it dipped to -32 one morning, i couldnt open my toolbox as some water had melted in the latch and then refrozen! |

In the UK its not unusual to have a 28C day followed by a 12C day. You'll find us sweating like pigs one day and shivering the next! |

I assure you it is everything to do with humidity. When people from this area go to the UK, and I have spoken to them, and my parents have spoken to others, they come back shocked at how cold +2c can feel (here such a temperature is absolutely nothing to worry about). |
