mtpanorama should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Finally some V8 supercar news to get us going for the year.(and move the poms down the order)
Borrowed this from another site.
Sounds all very interesting

Steven Richards is today on the verge of defecting from Holden and signing with Ford-Tickford Racing for next season.

In an extraordinary twist to the Silly Season festivities, Richards will in the next few days sign-up to replace the outgoing Neil Crompton at the Factory-backed Ford outfit.

The 28-year-old dual Bathurst winner has emerged as FTR's choice pilot, despite much of the speculation being centred on Queenslander Cameron McLean to claim the mount. Wayne Gardner and Cameron McConville were also believed in contention.

The signing leaves a high-profile vacancy at K-Mart Racing next season and beyond.

It could open the door for Craig Lowndes to remain with Holden and join the K-Mart operation, reuniting with his friend and former HRT colleague Greg Murphy.

It is believed former chief Fred Gibson has bought back the franchise and much of K-Mart Racing from Garry Dumbrell in the past few weeks, and is keen to form a partnership with the in-limbo Lowndes.

An official announcement from FTR is expected in the next few days.

We will have to wait and see what happens. Great driver choice though

well there you go..Richo Jnr should do very well at FTR if he indeed goes..hes quick and knows how to set a car up well...good luck to him.

now about the K mart vacancy...if Fred Gibson has purchased the team again then Lowndes would have to seriously consider going there..we all know what a good operator fred is ..but this would definately fill in the blanks and get us all reved up for a great 2001 series.

as said above Bring it on !!!!

It was announced today by Mobil, would you believe, that Carrot head has in fact signed for FTR. Quite frankly, why? Does he really think an FTR AU is better than a Gibson VT?

I have heard Fred Gibson has brought Kmart racing and has Lowndes and Forbes to drive this season. If this is true this will leave Murph without a drive. Freddy Gibson just doesnt have his head switched on does he. Anyone would have Murph and Lowndes instead of Forbes and Lowndes.

But Bob Forbes (father of Rod) has a lot of money, and even more clout...besides, who is to say that it wasn't just Murphy leaving for something else? And you can't say that that would be silly, since Clowndes did leave HRT after all...

Ah..... It appears the cards COULD be falling in to place. Richo to FTR, Lowndes to Kmart. But Forbes? I hope this is one part of the rumor that isnt true!!!!

P.S. Does anyone want to swap Bright merchandise with some Richo gear!!!!
