Ligier JS23"B"

Ok guys, i really need some help here, i am pretty sure i have got the car number correct, i am looking for the 1984 Ligier, driven by DeCesaris and Hesnault, we all know what the JS23 looks like and this is my problem, i am sure the 23B ran for the last two or three races of the season, and what is bugging me is this, please correct me if you think i am wrong but i am positive the 23B had a rather ugly bulge just in front of the cockpit and down the nose section, i was a huge DeCes fan back then and he ran the car first and that is why i am sure i am right here, but do you think i can find a photo of said car anywhere, can i heck, a photo would be cool if anyone can find one or a yes you are right or no you are an idiot will be fine as well, just please help me out guys, thanks, Chris.

Hello Chris,

I read your post and I can affirme that for the 2 last races in 1984 , only Andrea de CESARIS drove this car (JS 23B) François HESNAULT keep his JS 23.
A rapid view in my doc today don't give me a photo, but i try to find something for you.
I hope you have your info soon.
Bye.
Jean-Charles.

Take a look at the website of sutton images and you will find a picture of this car in the section Formula 1 Archive, 1984 Portuguese Grand Prix.

Thanks guys, i had a really good search last night and found a link to the Ligier/Prost museum on another site, there it is as bold as brass with the bulge in the nose section, lovely, i do appreciate your help and it is a relief to know i wasn`t losing my marbles in the 22 odd years since it raced, (can it really be that long) Chris.

Just been to the sutton site, if you go to the 1984 European GP and look at the Senna, Rosberg collision, DeCesaris is tucked in behind them and the 23B profile is really clear.
