FIA GT Rnd1: Zhuhai 23-25 Mar 2007

Anybody going to Zhuhai, China? Anyone has been there for previous races of FiaGT? Suggestions and recommendations? Cautions? Thanks! I probably will be there for the race.

I am racing there in FIA GT obviously, but I have not been there before otherwise.

A friend who raced F3 there has said ONLY stay in the 5 start hotels, as the others are very dodgy. It's only £40 a night for the best hotel lol!#

Come and say hi if you come

I know Zhuhai a bit, you may try the following reputable hotels if you haven't booked:

Holiday Inn Zhuhai
Zobon Hotel
Grand Bay View Hotel
Harbour View Hotel

It will take about 1/2 hour by car to travel from anyone of the hotels above to Zhuhai International Circuit.

I went to the event in 2005 for the FIA GT

I travelled from Hong Kong to the event on the day and back later the same day. The ferries are excellent and frequent (£30 return)
The circuit is about 20 minutes away from the ferry terminal by taxi ( £5 max!)

You cannot view the whole circuit but the grandstand is good for most of it plus an excellent view of the pit area.

I race there every month & will be racing in the Lotus Challenge http://www.lotuschallengeasia.com - one of the support races to the FIA GT.

As ASA noted they are the hotels to stay in...the Holiday Inn is probably the best of these.

As China cities go this one of the better ones!
