And I think you're like a politician: make grandiose statements and never expect to be called out on them.

When Stanaway was first mentioned as a runner at EC, you and your apprentice (who has disappeared) wasted a whole lot of time and posts telling us why (and arguing that) Stanaway would need a year (or two!) in Super 2s and in no way should be a walk up start in the main game.

That was despite others here siting his drive last year at Sandown and his extensive resumé. Miraculously a lot of your bolder posts no longer exist here (surprise surprise), but for you to now be a Stanaway fan boi (to coin one of your terms) is a bit rich.

Hopefully Richie will be in a full time Prodrive main game drive next year but they will need a Licence and a sponsor. Sounds like talk of Boost may be a little wide of the mark.

One of the LDM RECs will solve that battle

Some of you guys are hilarious. Not giving Richie a chance in a good car would be ridiculous. He clearly has the skill, talent and ability.

I think the tip is a LDM rec will be going to prodrive to give them 4 REC's . they will then put Richie in it with an appropriate sponsor

Time will tell though

Could be.

It was to prevent a certain number of cars run under the same umbrella organisation.

If Prodrive were able to hold 5 RECs Richie would have already had a seat, sponsorship and merchandise sorted.

Like / rate him or not, Bright is the awkward guy in the way.

Awkwardness doesn't matter, he holds the important piece of the puzzle if he wants to drive, an REC of his own.

Maybe Richie should make a bid for one of the REC's on the market if he wants a drive badly enough?

The other GTE Pro Aston took the win so I’m sure that eased the pain for the team. Maybe not so much for Stanaways co drivers.

It’s highly probable that AMR knew of Stanaway’s ambitions for Super2 or Supercars 2018 and didn’t offer him a contract for next year based on that. Not the end of world as AMR now have Alex Lynn and the Belgian ace Maxime Martin.

I believe it was pretty much Richie's decision to leave the WEC. I think he was highly rated by Prodrive but tired of the BOP. I know Darren Turner (Aston Martin team mate ) credited Richie's wet weather driving talents as being a major factor in a win they had at COTA.
