2021/2022 Silly Season
Looking at all the threads, I was surprised not to find one dedicated to the 2021/2022 Silly Season, so here it is.

This Marshall Pruett article, from the 26 December in Racer.com, appears to have the latest, on what is going on.

I presume he has a backer.. seems odd to be in the wilderness for a couple of seasons then returning.. and yes I know the brand name has cache but it doesnt generally help you drive the car..

Matt did very well at the Stadium Super Trucks. Of course, formula racing is a completely different beast.

This does seem like a bit of a step backwards for him, but I guess some competition is better than simply driving the two-seater at IndyCar weekends.

Without the military sponsorship i wasn't sure this was going to happen, but great to see Daly resigned and a new sponsor to boot!

Colombian driver Tatiana Calderón, will drive for A.J. Foyt in road and street course events. Interestingly, no driver has been signed for ovals.

That kind of came out of nowhere, didn't it? Cool though. Let the speculation begin about that oval half seat (Kimball? Bourdais? Chilton? RHR? Jack Aitken? TK but not at the 500?)

Why would Chilton race for Foyt when he doesn’t even do the ovals for the team he owns?

Jones might be a shout though.

Expect he will be in the third seat when ASP move to 3 cars.
Makes sense to have a veteran in the chair for the first year.

RHR maybe, he's still trying for a bigger ride but I believe he did test with them earlier. Kimball (can he bring enough), Bourdais(IMSA/WEC commitments), Chilton (doesn't do ovals) and TK(500 ride elsewhere means 2 drivers?) likely no for various reasons. JR is still out there without a ride and some team connection but again money?
