NR seemed a bit frazzled in the press conf after quali didn't he?
Lewis just missed pole but seemed in pretty good spirits, while Nico on pole seemed grumpy. Q: Very well done. Back to you Nico: the points situation obviously means you need to win both the last two races… NR: Not true. Nico, this weekend looks a lot like the Austin weekend. But after your pit stop (in Austin) you suddenly lost performance and Lewis overtook you. What happened exactly and do you think the story will be different here? NR: You say this looks similar to Austin. I don’t know why. Just pole position. |

Just stupid questions trying to bait him into a interesting response. He's doing very well to keep his composure at this point in his career/life, with so much pressure on him due to being in a position where he coul be world champion for the first time. Lewis has been here before don't forget, so he should have better tools for dealing with it theoretically.

Is the start 4pm UK time? Last weekend for the US GP the Autosport site said that it started at 7pm, whereas in fact it was 8pm...?

A clean start, with Rosberg in the lead. Ricciardo's goes backwards. I think we might see Lewes play that waiting game like he did at Austin.

Williams seem to be making a habit this year of having promising qualifying, then a series of disasters on race day.

Good stop by Lewes. Now he's right on Rosberg's tail.

Congrats to Rosberg. Good to see Massa get a podium at his home GP and a good drive by Button.
It's not all over bar the shouting and it looks like it's Lewes's to lose in Abu Dhabi. |

Raikkonen had a very high spirited race.
Tough to see past Hamilton for the crown though. |

Lots of good drives, even Hamilton with his off. The tyres just cried enough and that turned the race. But there was nothing to lose trying really.
An absorbing race too, but I'd happily watch paint drying on the barriers at Interlagos tbh. |

I enjoyed that.
Ok: Is this off topic? It all happened on Sky live. Im surprised there is no comment on here. a) Bernie will not negotiate with Sauber/Force India/Lotus. Apparently, if you cant afford to be here, then go. b)Red Bull/Ferrari are prepared to run third cars next year. c) Graham Louden was on live from his house in the UK, saying, the Marussia Team is alive and kicking, hoping to get to Abu Dabi and compete in 2015. Ok. What is going on?? |

Just about when you thought you have seen everything,
there goes Massa through somebody else's pit ready! Glad everyone was paying attention. The podium party was quit interesting. Great passion from the fans for Massa to " the question " to Lewis, "where is your girlfriend?" Did he really just ask the points leader that? Non the less, still entertaining. |

Bernie will not be manipulated or outplayed by the lower teams. He holds the cards and he will play it his way. He is not here to lose to anyone. Red Bull and Ferrari can supply third cars but will not pay to run them. They could lease them to a lower team to fill the field, so if things at Sauber were really bad could they cut staff etc and run a couple of Ferraris for a year as an interim for Ericsson and Nasr? They couldn't score constructors points of course so that wouldn't help them to funds for the years beyond 2015 but this is about being there in 2015... Or the constructors could run them as third cars for driver development and third sponsors from the driver candidates. I'd be surprised about Red Bull doing this but if they took over the Caterham entry as a customer team that might make sense. Marussia is dead because Marussia is dead in the water but water is at the root all living things and has foundational building blocks so new life is always possible with the right genesis. Manor motor sport is not dead. Graham Louden and John Booth are not dead, nor is Manor... They still have hope on their side and life can bring surprises. |
