Formula Vauxhall/Opel Lotus specs

Can anyone point me in the direction of some specification details for Formula Vauxhall (or Opel) Lotus cars? E.g. engine, transmission, class A/class B etc. Ideal would be the a list of evolutions since it's inception. Cars on the market appear to be equipped with a variety of carbs (Weber 45s, Dellortos) and fuel injection, then there are bodywork revisions etc. All a bit of a minefield for a prospective buyer.

Many have been converted to Monoposto rules. Fitting carbs, changing of bodywork etc.
See www.monoposto.co.uk

Contact Dermot Healy at dermothealy@btinternet.com - he's a mine of useful info (and spare parts) on this subject.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

The Monoposto website has their regs, but for example doesn't explain why you might want to swap the later fuel injection system for carbs (was the later injected version less powerful?).

I was hoping to get myself a bit clued up before talking to any vendors, but there just doesn't seem to be much information out there. There's a little bit at http://www.euro-racing.com/europacup/1997/whatfv.htm but I was optimistically hoping to find some reasonably comprehensive specs and history of evolution. Hey ho!

If you can find the number in Autosport etc etc -VIT (John "Slzenzak"?) will be able to answer all your questions. If not VIT in Belgium (Wico Ibes??) should be able to help. Or why not speak to one of the teams like John Village as they ran cars in FVL and he's a pretty decent helpful guy.

The guys at VIT are prob your best route though..
