Being a sentimental old fool, I think it a shame that some names fade away as time goes by. Take Maserati, such a proud history, one of the legends of pre and early post war motor sport; Luckily there are still a number in action, and all praise to those who keep them where they belong. On a race circuit;

Bob, they haven't disappeared completely, and since the name re-appeared in the WSCC back in 2004, they have have been quite successful, especially the cars prepared and entered by Vitaphone Racing, notching up a few drivers' and constructors championships.
However, I fully accept and appreciate that they might not be quite your cup of tea. |

In the Clubmans.... (I will do it by car # as opposed to pic #)
#4 is a Phantom. (looks like a P80?) #75 looks like a Mk28 Mallock. #79 looks like a Mk21 The early car looks like a Mk6 (The Mk 8 had front wing tabs) The #51 is a B class car (FF engined) and to be honest is a bit of a bitsa... I think the car is a Mk20 but the nose is not . Happy to be corrected on the Mk.#'s on the Mallocks, although I think I am pretty close. |
