HQ 4Hr @ Winton this weekend

The annual HQ Holden 4 hour enduro is being held at Winton once again this weekend.

Well it's really a 2x2 hour as there is the first 2 hours on Saturday and the second half is held on Sunday. The main reason for spliting it into two is to save having to have a fuel stop mid race in the form of a Hot dog stop or imposing dry break fuel systems on everyone.

It's usually a good weekend and I cant see any reason why it wont be again this year.

NEWS FLASH:

Cranker Enterprises have reason to believe that a former Australian Production Car Champion has already made 2 visits to the sand, in his HQ.

The track safety team allegedly pulled the bumper off the car when the tow hook let go.

we were out at Won-Ton yesterday, and noticed some fun and games going on....

we were unsure if the track was "fast" or "slow"? any feedback?

Well it looks like the dynamic duo of the last 3 years has finally run out of luck, some little electrical glitch I think, can't quite remember what it was put them 3 laps down, then someone received a drive through for an alleged yellow flag incident so tomorrow will be a long day for them.
Ah well, it's about time someone else went home with the trophy, I'm sick of dusting the thing every week

Nice mis-representation of facts there Cranker. Fuel runs of 2litres, 5litres and 10 litres were the real reason for the visits to the sand trap. And the engine wasn't 05, it was 04.

All in all the weekend was great, a bit of biff and barge, a bit of confusion and some hard charging through the field, and then some really bizare fuel-pick up issues that left several competitors struggling.

Quite enjoyed the weekend, and glad those fires around the region never made its way to the track.
