OVERSTEER should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2CV Racing and 24hr 2CV Racing

I have recently seen an article in a magazine (I can't recall the name of the mag) about the easiest and cheapest ways to compete in motorracing, someone suggested that 2CV racing was cheapest and they suggested that one of the 24hr races (I understand these run at Mondello, Snetterton and Spa Mainly) could cost about £800-£1000 per driver and that all you need is the relevent licence and basic racing gear (Helmet, suit, and boots).
If anyone here could confirm this information as being correct or could give me the correct information, links to relevent websites would be useful, I ask this because this article really sparked my interest in possibly competing in the next few years, I would be grateful if if anyone could help me, Ian

Ian,

Posted a reply to you in the Club Racing forum - once option that Chris Y may be able to help you with is racing the Mini's - I know they can work out quite cost-effective - maybe he'll post later.

The 2CV 24 hour at Snetterton is a replacement for the Mondello event of previous years. The contact I have for this is Martin Harold (martin@lionplc.co.uk.)
If you haven't got a car yet and are just looking for a cheapish club (or can't stay awake for 24 hours) 750 Motor club are in the low cost market. (contact - Robin Knight 01379 741641)

Check out www.2cvracing.co.uk for more info. The 24 hour race is a great way to get into racing ... it worked for me! What I then found is that the championship itself is a very competetive one with full grids and close racing.
