Heres one that im not sure of, The Nissan Sentra that took part in the Super Touring Car series back then.. ( OT the other Toyota Camry can be seen in the backround)
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/7959/sentra13qf.jpg Was this model raced elsewhere around the world? This is another which now races in our local Saloon car series, Im not 100% sure but it might be the Green Sentra above with just the facelift front end. http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/6852/sentra29uf.jpg |

I was looking on Jason Hughes website today and I noticed that on one of the photos there appears to be a Super Touring Vauxhall Vectra.

Bilsport used to sponsor Rydell. I assume he donated/lent the car to their museum as he had no where else to put it.
UnO, I assumed from your flag you were in Australia but sounds like you are actually in ZA. The one Camry I know of is raced in the Gult Western Touring Car Challange http://www.touringcarchallenge.com by Brenden Julius. |

The only series which raced a Sentra (called Sunny in Japan and elsewhere??) was the Japanese Touring Car Championship or JTCC. That car was built to ST spec. I recall some markets still called the Vectra a Cavalier for some reason? |

It was brought to the NATCC by Toyota/Rod Millen as a template for the building of the stillborn next gen Camry's. Hey Redshoes, do you want pics of the car for when it raced in the NATCC? |

The Vectra is the Vectra everywhere now. In the 1990s GM standardised the model names across Europe. Astra was the only Vauxhall name which survived the rebranding exercise. |

I have just been looking at the BTCC Forum and there is a question from some one is looking to by a 1997 Renault Laguna, in fact it is car 97/04. So it looks like another car may have been un-earthed.
edit Should have looked at Redshoes site, this car is the one that is in Motorsport News/Autosport ever other week. |

97/04 has been for sale for at least the last 3 years. I hope it finds a new owner soon as I'm getting fed up adding links to the racecarsdirect site every time it's advertised.

I have found few pictures of JTCC Accord (built in JDM/US shape).
Here they are: http://www.jfpi.or.jp/stat/ms/20/image/motorshow022.jpg http://www.honda.co.jp/collection-ha...fst/img/03.jpg http://hondatuningmagazine.com/event..._hall_11_z.jpg http://www.hondaklubben.com/modellinfo/Racing/jtcc1.jpg http://www.miyavoux.com/miyavoux/tms32/accordjtcc2.jpg (BTW, they feature different front splitters. And I don't know why) and also a picture of a scale model http://www.3dfinlay.net/g2info/galle...ed6af3f28e9c89 Anyone knows, if a Nissan Primera Camino raced in JTCC was a rebadged european ST car or absolutely different ST based on the bodyshell of the same shape (excluding grill & badges)? I see it features different front spoiler from those built by Nissan Motorsport Europe or Ray Mallock Ltd. http://www.jfpi.or.jp/stat/ms/20/image/nismo032.jpg http://www.jfpi.or.jp/stat/ms/20/image/nismo9816.jpg ST Nissan Sentra from South Africa is actually what we know as Nissan Sunny, but with different front end. |

Here are the pictures of various Touring and Super Touring Nissan Primeras.
http://syuninracing.k-server.org/pri...r1.html#racing Among them are the two generations of JTCC Primeras. I wonder, who built them, and if there's any tie beteen them and btcc machinery. |

Does anyone know what has happened to Matt Neals Maza 323 from 1994?
I understand that it went to Slim Borgudd in 95 never to be seen again... |

I'm not 100% sure if it it was Matt Neal's car that Slim Borgudd had for '95, but it would have made sense to upgrade it rather than building from scratch. The one Borgudd was supposed to use was orange, and although it didn't race in the BTCC itself, it became a regular in the Ace Vehicle Deliveries Sports/Saloon Championship in the late 90s/early 00s. It was driven by Nick Creswell...It appeared many times at my local track, Oulton Park, seemingly still with its original 2.0 V6 engine, judging by the wonderful sound it made!
Here's a link to the only photo I could find, still bearing its original BTCC number boxes... Nick Creswell |

You're right about the 2 cars being different. The turquoise car driven by Neal in the World Cup at the end of 1994 was as I recall built by Team Dynamics. The orange Slim Borgudd 1995 car was built by Roger Dowson. I believe turquoise car raced in the Belcar series in 1998/99. No idea where either car is now.

Actually, there could be a total of 3 Mazda 323s built then?
1 Matthew Neal (tuquoise) 1 Roger Dawson (orange) 1 JTCC raced one (white) |

As for the the number boxes, Matt Neals car never ran in the BTCC so it never had them applied.. |

Found this - http://www.rally.gr/default.asp?menu...os&race_id=177 - see right hand pic, 4th row.
The pic is taken in March 2003 and from what I can understand (it's all Greek to me) it was driven by ΠATΣOYPEAΣ KΩΣTAΣ and described as a Mazda 323F BTCC, so I'm fairly confident it's the same car. There's also a number of Honda Accords I didn't know about. |
