Finally realised what I'm looking forward to. Brasil when they settle the WD and WC championships.

The best Grand Prix in the southern hemisphere is but 44 days from happening! It's the Australian Grand Prix. Its second to none. Its fair dinkum, Formula One
However it is Potsie-less.. meaning it will not quite be the same.. I look forward to the sweet sound of the new engines, their going 'kaboom' and 'poof' at different moments... hopefully with championship changing implications! |

I personally would love to see Williams up there and doing well again, every year I hope that they have sorted a good car. The last half decent car was the 2006 model, even though I know that that they got a win in the 2012 car, it was still a dog and frankly the mind boggles how it even performed the way it did.

It's a lottery year for Williams, who knows what might happen.

I am looking forward to seeing which teams and drivers adapt to and exploit the new regs and how they do it. Maybe that's a little naive, but I think there's still sport there.
And there will be no sour grapes from me if that turns out to be Vettel and Red Bull. In fact, if they do manage it, That in my mind would be the achievement above all others that would set Seb apart as truly one of the all time greatest drivers. |

Well I look forward to seeing how Marcus Ericsson gets on. Other than that I actually look forward to hearing the new engines and I definitely look forward to the return of the Austria GP.
Oh, and I look forward to seeing how the various PR departments handle the trainwreck when the WDC is won at the last Grand Prix because of the double points rule and magazines, websites and TV start talking about "the true champion".. |

2014 is looking pretty good so far. New cars and engines, fresh talent, "do or die" mentalities, etc.
Much better than 2013 - though I seriously doubt 2014 can topple 2012, Best. Modern F1. Rivalry. Ever. |

its a good opportunity to be optimistic because things cant get any worse.
so im hoping that several of F1's long term problems (budgets, sanctioning fees, control etc) finally get sorted this year and with that less of a need for short sighted band aid fixes. and already we have a number of different looking cars, the benefits of which in terms of competition far outweighs their aesthetic appeal so for me thats a good start. |

That's quite a tall order for the lad. Firstly there's actually finishing a GP, which isn't easy for a rookie at the best of times, but this year reliability won't help. Then he's in a team that's had well documented troubles for a good few seasons and is slap bang in the middle of a bunch of radical changes off-track. Then he's got to get past five world champions, one of which is driving an identical car and is said to have a driving style well suited to the new engines,
I'd like to think it's possible, but it's one hell of a big ask. This year at any rate, |

The last couple of drivers to win a race in their first season came out on top the next year.

A bold prediction I know, but I'm looking forward to someone else winning both the WCC and WDC. it's not going to be Red Bull or Vettel this year.. the new engines and tech means the time is ripe for a shake up in strengths among the top teams.
If they can't beat Red Bull this year it doesn't really bode well for doing it in the years to come. :/ |

What I'm looking forward to seeing is...
Sky's jack-the-lad Lazenby not being able to help himself, getting caught on air either describing the F1 car noses in an obscene way, or getting caught on camera making obscene hand gestures in the vicinity of aforementioned car noses. |

Natalie Pinknam will not be able to keep a straight face looking at these cars. The ladies'll be a blushin'.

I am looking forward to this ,
BBC Sport's chief F1 writer Andrew Benson: "New Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo's helmet features a painting of a honey badger. He has explained why he identifies with it: 'It's an animal I discovered a few years ago. It's known to be probably the most fearless animal in the animal kingdom. You look at it and in some pictures it looks quite cute and cuddly and it seems pretty laid back but as soon as it wants something or someone crosses his territory in a way he doesn't like, he turns into a bit of a savage. He'll go after anything - lions, pythons - so he turns very quickly but he's a good guy.'" Go on Daniel ! He'll go after anything - lions, pythons and German multiple World Champs ! |
