I quite liked the new XVR livery when it was on the road car but the front looks wrong on the racer. Took me a while but I eventually worked out why. The road car has a black/chrome grill which breaks up the mass of red, the racer has a solid plastic cover over the grille.

Agreed, its gorgeous and one of the best touringcar liveries I've seen in a long while.

jacksons livery is really nice in a subtle kind of way. If you saw it on tv it wouldnt immidatly attract your attention, but once you see it a few times you'd appreciate it.
VXR wewnt for attention grabbing colour schemes in the past, but these look quite offensive if you have to look at them for a long time. Looks like this is what VXR have realised with their new scheme. |

Sorry about the large Image earlier!
Tim Bevan 2007 repainted his car after another driver hit him claiming he didn't see him!,"Can you see me now" great character and a sad loss to touring cars. Last edited by Icebaby; 15 Mar 2008 at 09:32. |

the GA Sureterm cars we're pretty bad, but it did get better when Sureterm left
http://www.stillphotography.co.uk/ga..._1791.jpg.html The colours were pretty bad on the Alfa, but the black and white Astra looked pretty cool... Couldn't find a pick of it though. |

Agreed, and the chrome would indeed be even better. I think the OPC/VXR has that lip in body color though?
[edit] Indeed it has: http://www.channel4.com/4car/media/V...-vxr-f3q-a.jpg |

That grill is a vast improvement, before it made the car look like a remote control toy!

I agree, maybe if we say it enough on here they'll change it, seems to have worked this time ;-)

Who is to say that wasn't their plan anyway and they just didn't have time to relivery 3 cars for media day. Remember media day in 2005 when the Muller Astra appeared with a chrome grille instead of a black one? And the other two cars had no V at all.

There is part of it that looks like a rush job. The VXR logo on the side is in a slightly different place on one of the 3 cars. On Neal and Onslow-Cole's cars the door shut line is between the V and X, on Gio's it's between the X and R. Seems odd because I thought they pre-liveried spare body parts to save time on raceday. If they need to replace a door nothing will line-up.
