Pitstop & Top 10 changes - Bathurst?
Will the pitstop changes for this year (2 rattle guns, safety car pitstops), and the random Top 10 draw for shootouts, be enforced at Bathurst? Surely not,but nothing suprises me from AVESCO/TEGA these days....

I think the rattle gun one is not enforced at Bathurst. DUnno bout the top 10 shootout. But the way i understand the shootout thing is:
After Qualifing instead of the drivers racing in their time orders (10th in qual goes first ect) they just randomise who goes first ect. is thta correct?? |

Can someone explain to me the new rules regarding pitstops, etc.? They gonna limit the number of people in pitlane removing/replacing wheels?

Only 2 rattle guns can be used in a pitstop and a minimum of 2 wheels must be changed. The idea is to increase the amount of strategies available to the teams.
Some may decide to change 2 wheels only to save time in the pitstop but potentially lose time on the track due to less grip, while others may change all 4 wheels as they feel the extra time lost in the pitstop can be regained on the track by having better grip. Similar to NASCAR rules but without the hand pumped jacks. |

With the flow restrictors in the refuelling rigs it probably wouldb't matter much changing wheels two at a time.

It does when most, except for the enduros, you can't change tyres and refuel at the same stop.
