Historic Rallying help

I have a colleague who is planning to rebuild a 1962 Morris Minor and would like to take it into Historic Rallying.

Can anyone give me any pointers to pass on please? Contacts / links and / or details for homologation / originality / allowable modifications etc.would be much appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Anuauto has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

GoThatWay should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Neil - I just posted a lengthy reply to you over on the Rallying board. I'm not sure whereabouts on ten-tenths (if anywhere) historic rallying belongs !

If you and your friend are serious about this, I can put you in contact with the head of the BMC Competitions Dept, who I believe, still has all the original build sheets. As the M.M. was rallied by the great Pat Moss in period, it must have been developed, although I don't know to what extent.
Therefore the build sheets will save you time and ensure eligibility.
YOu will need to join the HRCR first.

... not strictly true for historic road rallies. Most of the longer - and more expensive - road rallies (e.g. from HERO, CRA, European ones, etc.) are for club members - which also means that they might not necessarily require an MSA licence.

But having said that, the HRCR is a good club and provides contacts, calendars, championships, etc..

I meant, join the HRCR, to access the meetings where the information sought, is made available.
The HRCR magazine also provides road rally reports, from most events in the UK, as well as on the continent.
