Thanks for the link Iain, even though the Timo Making grid is said pre-war. I see a Diva driver I used to meet more than once, we were both competitors and co drivers during the same weekend. C'est la vie?

Yes good weekend , cars ran well. With the help of Andy Newall we even fixed up MGB oil pump and the car ran well with husband and wife team finishing 3 rd in class in the 300 K race . Weekend ended up on a low as while I was away from the van in pit lane I got robbed of all my cash . Hey Ho must learn to lock the van no matter what the rush is . ?

That sucks mate. Just goes to show how much we take good sportsmanship for granted, we're always leaving expensive tools all over the place. Unless we race at Hooton Park of course, in which case we weld the wheels on the van.

Ho yes. Words are missing to say how much I hate this kind of situation. Over the years we saw that the situation is getting worse. Robbery, spying -tyre pressure, suspension settings- and sabotage became the norm. I think it could be fixed even partly.

As the saying goes “ always look on the bright side of life “. Could have been a lot worse . Just imagine if they had taken my ruck sack . Passports , bank cards , race licence , bike puncture repair kit and so on . I would still be stuck in Dijon now . Anyway we have gone way off “ race dates “, ?

Interesting and well supported grids at SuperSpa. French HFF grid had an invite and everybody enjoyed the weekend.

Weather, location, organization, teams, drivers and ambiance all this helped to make a success. Only the BMW grid was "light" but this will be improved I'm convinced, for a very nice meeting held on three happy days.

I see that CSCC have published their 2025 provisional Calendar......do we need a new thread?
https://www.classicsportscarclub.co....a-b90394699313 Edit: Posted this and returned to the Historic Home page and Andy 97 has started the 2025 thread just as I was posting the above! Great minds! |
