Formula Ford testing - Donington, 27/08

As this is my last full week off school and Donington's nice & near (plus I need to buy a present and the shop's decent there..), I was thinking of popping along on Wednesday to a) buy what I need to and then b)watch some of the Formula Ford testing that is on according to MST.

Before I do, was just wondering if anyone knew:

- if it is actually on..!
- what the turnout of teams/drivers is likely to be
- any idea of session times would be great
- and finally, that's all assuming I'd be let past security for a look (which hasn't been a problem in the past.)

Cheers in advance for any info

security at donington's quite strict with testing. they're not generally public test days but at snetterton for the toca tour formula renault there was quite a fair crowd there. they shouldn't mind too much but there's issues with theft from trucks and that sort of thing.

porsche's usually share the day with ffords, and sometimes btcc too. sessions run from about 9am till 6pm, not completely sure about that but it depends where they are and that sort of thing!

everyone who is driving in the race will be testing.

Give Donny a quick call before setting out in the morning would be my advice - they're usually very helpful and it might just save you a wasted journey.
