First I thought it was the Spanish flag. But I looked on the www.gtitalia.net and found out that the car belongs to Italian team DR Sport Equipe and races in the Italian GT Championship. All drivers are from Itali. I think it is a flag from an Italian region or province.

That is a photoshop job, nothing substantial. But their were concept drawings of a Viper wagon like 2-3 years ago, but that was all it was, drawings. They won't need to make the Viper a wagon with the new wagon they currently showing as a concept. IIRC, it's called the Magnum, but don't quote me on that.
