Foggy Petronas Delayed

Unfortunatly the Foggy Petrinas will not be seen until the Brands Hatch round of the WSBK, not as was planned at Laguna. They will go testing instead to ensure they are competitive when they arrive, as Fogarty has said when the team arrives he wants to be capable of victory.

As much as i wanted them to be at Laguna, i can't think of a better place for Fogarty to debut his bike than at Brands Hatch, infront of all his fans, plus hopefully the bike will be able to be as competitive as he wants.

Debuting at Brands will ensure a lot more attention on his new bike because of the British crowd.

If he's said that, he's lost touch with reality! I want to see Foggy's team succeed, but to talk of victory, or even top ten finishes, with a totally untried bike is, I think, over optimistic.

I've just seen an interview with Foggy at the British (car) GP.

He said:

'We're starting testing next week & hope to race in the last couple of races this season.'

That's more realistic!

Apparently it's already been homologated.
What I want to know is - where are all these road bikes?
Or is it an Enzo Ferrari style of homologation....we promise sometime in the future we might build some...

I think Flammini has given them dispensation to build the bikes over time.

Will these bikes be just like the ALMS BMW M3 V8s that were never built.

Yes, a 'limited edition' of 150 is now on sale, & the normal bike will follow shortly. They have appointed 16 dealers in the UK, which suggests they are serious about selling bikes.

truth be told, i see more ducatis around here than anything else in the first place
