Barry P should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks for the info, have looked and booked as you suggested, managed to get a great couple of single seat positions. Really looking forward to watching these classics around Monaco.

Me too- it is one of the very few race circuits I feel I know my way around , purely from watching Grands Prix on TV, Wouldn't have a clue where Yas Marina's corners went , in common with most modern circuits .

I wonder how different it feels on the ground ? I expect I will notice the elevation changes most . But I don't doubt it will beat Croft on a wet Saturday anyway ...

Monaco is always Monaco

For those at their first experience they will enjoy it without compromise.
Everything is at walking distance and on Sunday with the ticket in your hand you can visit the paddock entering by the old yacht club. If I'm not mistaken
this year the price for Sunday races is Euro 100, which is 3 times of 2 years ago and they have again removed the F3 race that in Monaco is always very entertaining. Going there by train is very clever and please chose a seat with the giant screen in front….

Definitely notice the elevation changes if you wander about, also that the S/F straight feels pretty long when you have to walk it

Shame not to have the F3 race as usually pretty entertaining, but it's a great meeting regardless. Also a shame that the price has shot up (I think my first year we paid about 40 euros for the weekend tickets!), but I guess that's the price of success.

The ACM site is showing 50Euro for Saturday and 100Euro for Sunday. Agree its a massive increase compared to the 40 odd Euro I paid 4 years ago for a ticket that covered Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
With just 7 races and masses of hanging around, sadly this is another once great meeting that has gone on to my avoid list.

With the remarkably F1 focussed timetable I assume that the organisers have come under some pressure from the car owners for this year's event.

Perhaps people feel there have been too many cars on the grid in some races in previous years and wish to reduce the runners to numbers more in keeping with the races in period?

Are there enough cars around to fill the grids? I assume the homework has been done and the owners of potential entries have been consulted. If not the plan looks like a bit of a leap of faith. "Build it and they will come" concepts?

I will look forward to seeing the entry lists.

Monaco Historic has a much bigger picture . The true fans want F3 and FJ back racing around the streets . “So do I”. F1 in money money money . Yes I will miss thundering through the tunnel and trying to keep foot in around the swimming pool but I can tell the grand kids I did once race at Monaco . Happy days .

And Iain you are the lead picture on the ACM web site unless I am mistaken!

With around 16,000 grandstand seats and an increase around 100 Euro per seat, ACM should be pleased with their F1 led strategy. Unless of course they reduced competitor entry fees to reflect their new found spectator funded wealth!

Agree with Iain when the F3 and FJ went away, so did I.

However to all those racing or watching, enjoy it, it really is a unique experience.

Woo hoo that’s cheered me up .Two wheels in the air attacking chicane. I was lapping the car in front . That must of been in Qualy as we were P5 overall and P1 in class but the owner asked me to have one more go at trying to get further up the grid . “ I didn’t “.. Never mind only a few more sleeps and South Africa here we come . I’m itching to get back behind the wheel . Thanks for heads up .👍

You mentioned that you are hoping to do some photography.
I was in Grandstand K1 at two previous events and there are opportunities. Attached from 2018, taken with an old bridge camera.

Hope you have an enjoyable visit.
