We learned this ex post facto. But he tested with Lazarus before announcement about TMM programme. So why he didn't signed with Lazarus earlier? In my opinion, it seems like he hadn't opportunity to sign with Pagiaro's team and signed with TMM, but then he terminated the agreement for unknown reasons.

You are partly right. But I have few corrections:
1. Onslow-Cole announced his program with Pierburg.
It doesn't include GT Open.
2. Imperiale Racing restricted their racing programs to Italian borders.
3. Antonelli Motorsport announces full-season program for Russian duo of Nesov and Moiseev and one part-time crew.
4. I didn't hear anything about Attempto Racing…

Team Lazarus signed Stefani Coletti, who completed few testing sessions early this year. Monegasque returns to racing after 2 years of hiatus. He becomes 2nd italian team's driver and joins Fabrizio Crestani. They may be joined by Thomas Biagi and Jack Butel.

Teo Martin Motorsport is about to run 3-car programme, because Spanish team has 3 entries. 3rd car is for Christian Hahn, while his teammate driver to be confirmed soon.

Yup, heres that list, decent split between classes.

PRO is going to be a tight fight, Teo have good history, Yoluc will be looking to return to the series in a strong way, you can never discount Abril in the AF Corse, just dependant on how his young team mate fairs, and those Bentleys should be strong but are a new proposition to Lazarus so might take a little getting used to.

Expect to see some standout performances from Khodair again in qualifying to shake it with the PRO cars, The same can be said for Bastian at HTP, perhaps Schiller in the Getspeed car, and maybe even Millroy at Optimium.

In terms of race pace in PRO AM, I reckon itll be a toss up between Teo, HTP and maybe Getspeed. The Optimum cars will be very well run but their four drivers are very new to GT3 having meant to be campaigning British GT in GT4s this year until COVID happened.

AM should be interesting too, Miro at ARC has strong form, but that young russian duo at AKM (Antonelli) should be ones to watch

GT Open 2020 - 19 Cars Total

PRO CLASS - 6 Cars

AF Corse - Ferrari 488 GT3 - Louis Prette / Vincent Abril
Team Lazarus - Bentley Continental GT3 - Fabrizio Crestani / TBA
Team Lazarus - Bentley Continental GT3 - Stefano Coletti / TBA
Teo Martin Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - Henrique Chaves / Miguel Ramos
Teo Martin Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - Christian Hahn / TBA
TF Sport - Aston Martin Vantage GT3 - Salih Yoluc / Charlie Eastwood

PRO-AM CLASS - 7 Cars

GetSpeed Performance - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Fabian Schiller / ‘Max’
HTP-Windward Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 - Markus Sattler / Nico Bastian
JP Motorsport - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Patryk Krupinski / Christian Klien
Olimp Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Mateuz Lisowski / Marcin Jedlinski
Optimum Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - Ollie Millroy / Brendan Iribe

Teo Martin Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - Marcelo Hahn / Allam Khodair

AM CLASS - 6 Cars

AKM Motorsport - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Alexander Moiseev / Alexey Nesov

GetSpeed Performance - Mercedes AMG GT3 - Florian Scholze / Jens Liebhauser

I think, there will be more teams when the stages are held in Western Europe. There were no rumors from major sites about Attempto, and SPS shut down the program along with Onslow-Cole and Pierburg.

Bas Leinders, Optimum's manager, tells about the preparation and expectations from the first round of GT Open 2020.

This is the third weekend in a row in three different championships for Optimum Motorsport. How did you prepare for this first International GT Open meeting?

The decision of our drivers to compete in the GT Open with the McLaren came relatively late, but due to the lack of competition, we were still able to take part in several days of testing. All four drivers are new to GT Open, so we tried to put some training on pit stop procedures. This is something that is often underestimated, everyone wants to go fast on the track, but one can win or lose so much time in the way of the stands.

You have two cars in Pro-Am with drivers arriving from the GT4…

These guys are ambitious, even with very little or almost no racing experience for Nick and Brendan who decided to switch to GT3. I think at Optimum Motorsport, we have the perfect environment to help them in the best way possible. We have been very familiar with the championship for two years and we are sure that they will enjoy it all.

The weather looks hot in Budapest this weekend. Is this a handicap for your drivers?

Although air conditioning is available in race cars, it's still very hot in the cabin. Remember that driving a race car is physically very demanding because even professional drivers, who train almost every day, can sometimes have difficulties in these conditions. Pilots will need to make sure that they have enough rest before the weekend, closely monitor everything they eat and drink during the week.

What will be your main opponents ?

There are a lot of good teams and crews in the championship, but if you have to name one, there is no doubt that Teo Martin Motorsport remains a reference in GT Open. They narrowly missed the title last year and they also have a McLaren 720S GT3. They, like us, will be extremely motivated to get on the podium and bring the cup home. We will push as much as possible, but we must remain realistic for this first event. The main goal will be to finish the races without any problems and that our drivers take as much experience as possible.

This weekend in Hungaroring will be dry and windy. The maximum temperature will reach 31-33° C. While the track temperature reaches 45°.

Down to 18 cars for the weekend, after Teo couldn't arrange a last minute partner for Christian Hahn. Expectation is that this car will join the second round
