Haven't seen anything either. Maybe its tonight but I doubt it. Seems strange that both Mnews and Auto Action said the launch was happening this week. Mnews said Thursday which was wrong, Auto Action said it was going to be Friday. And as yet info anywhere.

Maybe Seton saw the negative reactions from Ford fans and the proposed mass suicides and chickened out thus throwing a spanner in HRT's works?

We can only hope.

I thought they were supposed to launch on Thursday as well.

Is it just me or is there less talk of when the launches are supposed to happen, compared to last year?

I bet ya Glenn had a change of heart and ruined it all. Well ruined it for HRT and pleased the rest of us

Here's hoping anyway!

My guess is that we have already seen the livery now anyway. I feel it will simply be a confirmation of what that lo-res pic showed...

Back on track - someone mentioned paying bills? Was this alluding to Mr Skaife not paying for his VE's from Walkinshaw Performance to date?

according to an article on carpoint.com, it didnt go ahead and has been pushed back to this week sometime...

"Note: Holden Racing Team’s launch, with the confirmation of Ford veteran Glenn Seton joining Mark Skaife for the endurance races, has been pushed back into next week."

Another thread about team launches is discussing why so many teams are using ride cars for the launch - which if you apply to this situation suggests that if anything it would have been the ride car which was damaged, NOT the race car. Perfectly legal. (If there was even a car damaged at all)

The grapevine has it that Mr.Skaife and Uncle Tom had a major difference of opinion and the Red Army Officers were sent in to sought it out. This marriage was never made in Heaven

Billy.

What do we do? How can Ford let this happen? They let Moffat drive a Holden in the 80s and now this?

I say we bombard FoMoCo with complaints! This is insane. It's vile. It's aganist god's way. It's just wrong.

Somebody please say it isn't so

What's worse Seto driving for HRT, or Seto not driving at all? Personally I'll just be glad to see him on the track.

Ha, Moff had driven Mazdas for years, so the Ford faithful had given him up for dead anyway. FoMoCo have done well to ensure their future, grabbing just about any half-talented racing driver on the sunny side of 35... the flip-side of that is that we've had to let some relics go, so Holden had steerers ...

Relics? Nice.

The guy delivers 17 round wins and 2 championships when FoMoCo were nowhere to be seen in the 1990s in terms of a racing presence and now he's a discarded relic? Shame on you mate.

We're not asking for a fulltime drive just a handy enduro drive and an ambassador role like he did with the Formula Ford kids last year. He's a great role model and amazing icon for Ford with a passionate folk following.

Sad day indeed
