I'm sure that Cam McConville has used at least half of his co-commentary time talking up the category as you'd expect.

Not a bad start for the new category today , cars look and sound good, thought they might be slightly faster but still about 3 seconds faster than FF times here. Interesting to see two of last years FF front runners on top, experience ce I suppose. Looking forward to tomorrow's first race, great to see open wheeler action on the V8 program though!

Brand new imported cars with factory parts at factory prices ! Turbo engines are nearly always quieter but agree would like to see them a bit noisier, but overall not a bad days rAcing in F4.

So there were 13 cars on the grid for the Townsville round of F4.

But look closer and its very worrying.

Of the 13, 6 were from AGI Sport and 4 from Team BRM. So 10 of 13 were from just 2 teams. That's 77% of the grid.

Has there ever been more stupidity than this concentration?

And FFord is less than 3 seconds a lap slower than F4.

Considering that Jordan Lloyd ran out of sponsorship to race earlier in the season, it wouldn't surprise me if CAMS is funding his F4 ride.

Actually, I've read the Aussie FF is something like 200K-300K a season.
