Andrew Jordan is the 2007 BRDA Rallycross Supercar champion

Jordan crowned Rallycross champion

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew Jordan is the 2007 BRDA Rallycross Supercar champion following the penultimate event of the season at Mondello Park on Sunday (14 October). The championship, which is contested by the fastest cars in the MSA British Rallycross Championship, rewards the leading driver in the 500bhp monsters and Andrew has set the pace all season.

"In all the confusion of the Mondello event, everyone overlooked the fact that we won the Supercar title," said Andrew. "I'm delighted to have won this title, because it is all about the fastest Supercar drivers."

The Supercar title is just reward for the 18-year old, who has been consistently the fastest driver in the MSA British Rallycross Championship this season at the wheel of the 550bhp four-wheel drive Ford Focus run by the G-Tech team of former rallycross champion Will Gollop.

The relationship between Gollop and Jordan will continue beyond the end of the current rallycross season, following confirmation that Gollop will be the race engineer for Andrew as he steps up into the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for 2008.

"I'm absolutely delighted that Will has agreed to take on this role," said Mike Jordan. "Will and Andrew have developed a brilliant relationship and the whole team is very proud that Will is going to be an important part of our two-car BTCC team next year."

More good news for Andrew is that he has been accepted into the British Racing Drivers' Club Rising Star programme. This unique programme, aimed at supporting and encouraging the best young racing talent in Britain, is another boost for Andrew's career as he looks ahead to competing in the most important and challenging championship in British motorsport.

Does this mean Will Gollop is leaving rallycross?

Bellerby and O'Donovan can still beat him to the MSA due to dropped score rules - I think! MSA is only based on superfinal remember.

Sounds to me then like they are keeping the results from the weekend, so all that arguing for nothing!!
It will mean then that Croft will be the final chance for him to take the overall championship, so will be a good day out as well.....Any comments on if he will od it or not?

Yes any of them can still win the overall title, but fair play and well done to Andrew Jordan and all the G Tech team for getting this title... Well DOne
