its just Autosport mentioned it twice - and they are not that wrong normally

Would adding a fin like the engine covers in F1 actually do that much? If there's any data about how effective they have been. Sorry my training could help you make you large lawn tree more stable in a cross-wind but not exactly aerodynamics.

Seems like adding it would be a big redesign given the ease of the rear deck removal. I assume there would have to be some kind of cross-engine bracing to fit under the fins to keep them from breaking under a side load.
