Rick should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
as I read that line I thought "Rennen will have something to say about THAT!!!"
I'm sure Ant is playing a huge part in BAR's revival - and it should lead to a race drive, hey Rennen!

Read "Exclusive interview with Dave Richards" on www.BARf1.com on the subject.

I agree, but it doesn't help.

In McLaren's case it is exagerated because they have to limit running of the race cars. If the third driver could bang in lots of laps then at least they could get somewhere with set-up.

In BARs case, again it isn't the only reason, by AD puts in dozens of laps - nearly a race distance at Monaco - it frees the race drivers to concentrate on their own game more.

Some weekends the lack of set-up time could be worth half a second, although most we are probably just talking a tenth or two.

Additionally it might be possible for ABR to try new bits more at GP venues. Take Monaco there is no where quite like it. McLaren can't be messing with new bits, their car might blow up three laps from the end of the race because of the extra work.

McLaren probably wouldn't even take the option at the moment - so PR obsessed are they that they couldn't stand the extra coverage of exploding Mercedes engines and pitiful lap times (although I am pleased to see that they had a better day yesterday, albeit still with very few laps covered).

DC must have forgotten about his team-mate taking the WDC to the wire only six races ago - he and all the other superior stuck-ups (Ron Denis described the Heathrow teams last year as track-cleaners, until Renault took full advantage and rubbed his nose in it) shoud just get on with their jobs and repair the damage they are doing by being so uncompetitive.

I thought other teams were getting three or four times as many laps because the McLaren engines kept breaking?
