I think I read in another thread on here that Stephen was maybe looking into them again and would be letting us know in due course.

Hope that helps a bit mate.

Yes - fingers crossed too - it is very decent of MSVR to do such a thing and is always appreciated very much.

Thanks Steve - I hope that it doesn't come across that we are ungrateful or taking it for granted by asking? Of course the opposite is true.

Is there a difference between the MR2 and a shopping trolley? A shopping trolley is probably quicker.

With regards the Lotus - I feel it is too valuable to risk stacking it at a trackday - I would be heartbroken.

So most certainly the MR2 if it hasn't rusted to nothing!! Then all you boys can take the mick when you go wafting past it in your cars (or shopping trolleys) - that would be a combination of only 124bhp and me being an awful driver!

With regards to guests - is it normally marshals only or are we allowed a guest? Nina is asking

As far as I remember, your guest can be a passenger in the car but not drive.

but you would have to take that nodding dog off the parcel shelf, and I doubt you could wear your normal clothing (flat cap and those nice driving gloves with the stringy backs!!)

thing is its a track day, not a race meeting. If all you want to do is pootle around to see what its like from a drivers eye view then there shouldn't be a problem. I think in the 3/4 years JP has kindly offered these days the only damage has been a Porsche at Cadwell and some minor front damage to a TVR at Oulton. Even then you don't have to drive, just come along and ask those that are driving if you can be a passenger in theirs. I can recommend Fazza - he gives you the full "360" of a circuit

I did it a couple of years ago in my firms car without a problem and theres no way of hideing the fact that it's a company car! just take it easy and enjoy the alternative view of the track

It was a great day and many thanks to all that make them happen

Steve,
Did 50 laps of Snetterton last year in a hire car, with racing Aston Martins and Caterhams blasting past me. Just keep wits about you and be sensible, should be fine. One thing, you must have a towing eye/strap.

And being a passenger in it was quite strange having a set of pedals in front of me too

i say it each year, but oulton boys will remember a few years ago and me and hepatic were bouncing round in a 1.0l micra and a 1.0l pug. last year at oulton there was a girl with her ford ka, not very quick but no one minded as she was just out at her own pace and having fun. were all marshals at the end of the day and more or less all know the guys and girls from your own circuit. no one is bothered
