CSCC Brands Indy

Just got back after a great race weekend and would like to thank the guys and gals in orange for your efforts over the last two days. I know we drivers kept you busy and certainly my own practice session (swinging '60's) must've used up your year's budget in concrete to soak up the oil!

Sunburned on Saturday and soaked on Sunday - thanks for a great weekend!

Yes, it was brilliant! Can I just add that it was great to Marshal at a First Class 'Clubby' Race Meeting. Close Racing and a lot of gentlemany actions and avoidances. Do not worry about the cement etc; we had quite a few Trainee Marshals and were able to train them in ALL aspects of Marshalling!!!!

Ah it's all becoming clear now! I marshalled at Cadwell and ended up doing an awful lot of cement sweeping under the direction of some more experienced marshalls!

And another thank you - and nice to meet Bev at the pit lane exit after her exploits in Daytona last year!

Great to see all you guys and girls out there - I hope everybody else waved to you on slowing down laps as well as me!

I had a great weekend... was my first time at Brands Hatch and my first time marshalling out on track (i thought after marshalling for 7 years it was about time!!). I just wanted to say thank you to all the marshals I worked with and met for making me feel so welcome. Also really enjoyed the racing and hope every one else had a great weekend!!

Top weekend's racing, very few stoppages and some excellent recovery work. Plenty of sweeping practice for the new faces as well! Hope the driver of the Jag that attempted to flatten the barrier at 2 is OK, never seen so much oil coming out of one car!

Robert Drewery (No 30) injured his hand but nothing too serious, currently trying to find a shell to be out at Mallory with. Big shame about the car, he's had it since college days when it was his daily hack. I've a nice bit of video as he & Neil Taylor cannoned across inches in front of me, gawd only knows how I missed it all.

Apologies to you guys & gals in orange, us saloons normally behave ourselves, we leave this sort of thing to the XJS's!
