Jensen Button too high!

Has any one else noticed that this season he sits very high compared to other drivers in F1/other single seaters? would this not hurt the centre of gravity?

Yeah I was at the Aus GP and mentioned it to My fathert who also picked up on it. If some one can get a pic of Sato and compare it, the differance is obvious.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
It's to leave room for the pullups.

Maybe its because he is the second tallest driver in F1?

maximus has the reason, although I hadn't particularly noticed until I saw that picture on the beeb website. It jsut shows that all the designers try to minimise the cars dimensions - the driver jsut gets in the way!

is it not just driver preference, he's always sat like that. It must be a lot harder on his neck. Compare him with Alonso who can barely see over the steering wheel.

just seemed to me when watching the GP that he was sat high, even compared to how he did in the BAR 006. Looks like he has to tilt his head forward and look down to see where he is going!

Yeah I've always thought that he sat high
I also thought that it looked more pronounced in his benetton/renault(?) year(s?)

How tall is he, exactly?

Slightly different issue I don't know, Webber used to sit almost block the airbox in Minardi but now he doesn't look particulary tall in the williams?

So if Button is sitting tall, maybe due to preference with the seat or whatever.

So when you saw the first pictures of 006...didn't you notice that his publicity 'stand in' in a JB look a like helmet was sitting just a wee bit lower?...Hahahahaha

Heinz-Harald Frentzen sat quite high in several of his cars and his height was about average for an F1 driver.

Dan Fielden has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Jenson is a driver tht has a very smooth driving style and it is said he likes to sit high in the cockpit so he can fully see where the nose of his car is. This helps him to be more precise than others. Your Thoughts?
