Would loved to have joined you for a race but all my F4's are contracted out so can't drive them till the end of the season....

Maybe Anglesey will have a single seater race in December?

Disappointing news that Mallory round has been cancelled due to lack of entries.
This is a good series and I've really enjoyed the first three outings - friendly people and a great atmosphere in the paddock.
If we want this series to continue, we all need to support it.

driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
its silly when u consider the Mono guys are racing and they only get 1 round at Mallory you would have thought 5 or 6 guys would want an extra race

clubF3 are at rockingham

FVL! seems like a good car to start with, I'll do few races in this and all being well move up the a carbon tub/mono engine.

The FVL seems to be very strong, I think :-).

I still need to come down and look at your cars!

Andy

You will all get a race at Mallory in August instead - we were sorry to cancel too.

Hope to see you all out there at CADWELL PARK - THE 'RING OF THE NORTH! Entry forms on website now - two races at £99 each on Sat and Sunday 7/8 July (who needs to watch the British Grand Prix!)

I think 1 of the reasons why F Free at Mallory did not get the entries is that the Mono and Fford racers are doing their own c/ships and IF the layout of the day is not known from the entry form they willnot eneter the Free race in cas ethe parcatise and race before theor main series event and damage the car in a non championship event
in the old days the F Libre and clsoed wheel allcomers races where always at the end of the day so the guys raced in theor c/ship event and if ll is well will do another race
SO
can i suggest that the printed entry forms state the F free race is end of day so the guys wh willwant to do F Free only can enter and then F Ford mono or whate ver else is on that day can enter theor main race and agree to come to do F Free race if all is well

they may not want to practise either so if that is thecase and weather does not change you can either accept their main race qualifying time or the just start at rear of grid

before u say they have not done 3 laps in qualifying they will have done their own event and possibly 1 race !

Yep, the Libre race was last for that reason. I often did them just to get a bit of track time (It was cheap to enter in those days).

You also got those who entered the Libre race with no intention of racing. If the did'nt know the circuit it was a good way of getting a bit of extra practice even though it was after your own session.

In the old days if you qualified out of session you would generally start at the back with a 10 second penalty. Great fun if you knew there were slower cars in front of you and you also missed the first corner pile up!
