I expect FP3 and Q will be published later. I also noticed on the site that Williams have received a suspended fine of E10,000 for using tyres 3 seconds too long! |

The car to cross the pit in line before a certain time, Massa was 3 seconds late crossing that line. There was a suggestion that he had a half spin/run wide on the in lap, that slowed him down. This made the difference.

Small offense, but Williams had a mix up with the timings and tyres earlier in the year too. I can't remember the exact situation. Was it something to do with a red flag and how that changes the timings of when you give up the first set of tyres.

Is it common with other teams?
Not that this is a serious offense. |

In all the years I've been following F1, I never knew such a rule existed. Talk about minutia.

It was a rule introduced for a sensible reason. Basically no one wanted to go out early on and use up a set of tyres on a green track. So they said everyone could have an extra set of tyres, but they would be taken off them after the first half an hour (or whatever).

Perhaps they should pause the session at the 40mins point and make it clear to all teams (and spectators) that there is a fixed point to return a set of tyres? |

Well now there's a new build up to the start. Wish they'd stop dicking around with stuff.

That was horrendous. It was great how utterly bored Alonso looked with it. I'd hate to have been first out and have to stand there listening to that utter rubbish. And as for the drivers doing their poses. Who was Bottas waving at? I thought Hamilton was Mr T.

Nice pass on Bottas by the most overrated driver of all time.
The track really is excellent with all the different lines it allows for. Good design for overtaking and yet it seems to challenge the drivers. |

What a ******s! Many cars leaving the track incl. Vettel. Then they give Verstappen 5s. for move of the day. Unbelievable.
Also not the smartest decision from Red Bull to give him a 2nd stop. Otherwise P2. |
