We knew it was coming, and it's only a matter of time... the removal of Spa would be the final nail in F1's money-filled coffin...

There is always some threat that Spa will be removed from the calender.
Face it if the old Hokenhiem is to fast for F1 then it's only a matter of time before Spa's removed. Plus it is too near other european gp's like Nurburgring and Hockenhiem. With Gp's like Turkey, Russia and China waiting in the wings it won't belong until we say a sad farewell to Belgium. |

They raped and killed the Hockenheimring.
They want to take Spa away. There are rumours about Monza and Monaco. A1 Ring is a scarlet letter. Then why should we watch F1, pay for merchandise and stuff? We should leave Bernie be alone with his money. The only good thing is that they're not going to touch the circuit. And if they do....I'll be the first to revenge. |

Yeah, Jay you're rigth... but F1 means a lot for the carmakers, and the advertising pays back, even if you or me or many of us doesn't care about what is being advertised... human logic. ;(

Spa nearly always provides an exiting and dramatic race, even when teams are dominating. Lets not totally ruin the sport over an advertising ban.

I don't even see the reason to ban tobacco sponsorship. Sure, because Jacques wears a Lucky Strike logo I'll start smoking.... come on!
All the tobacco bans are stupid. If they think it's bad for health, then why not make it illegal? |

I don't see why Belgium should have been so eager doing it early in the first place.

I really hate to hear this news, I don't understand why they want to hold races in China, Egypt, Russia, etc. All the new circuit are similiar. Spa is so special to me, without Spa, F1 r.i.p.

The Belgian GP is under threat nearly every year nowadays, but Bernie seems more determined than ever to get rid of the best circuit on the calender.
Considering Spa is one of the last 'links' to the glory days of the sport, to lose it would be another nail in the coffin for what F1 really stands for. |

Excuse the terrible comparison, but to me, F1 of late has become a bit like a friend who you once held in high regard, but has tried your patience and trust one too many times...if they get rid of Spa, then I really dont think I could be bothered with watching the "sport" any longer.
