That Pirtek livery looks stunning on the BMW, even better than on the Focus!

Well the Jack Sear Trophy will definitely be for top rookie as we have the minimum number of 4 confirmed (and might still get more) could be hotly contested this year, looking at the teams & cars the rookies are lining up in.

Gutted for Jake Hill.
Hope for Eurotech for him now.

Simon Hill did post on the official site forum recently about looking forward to 2017 and about selling merchandise for Jake - he's obviously got a deal sorted but I'm pretty sure it'll be with Team HARD, rather than Eurotech.

so much for the Collard at Motorbase rumor, it's either WSR yet again or bust

I think you could paint Dick Bennetts in the Pirtek livery and he'd look good to be quite honest.

*Desperately attempts to remove image from mind*

I had hoped to see Jake Hill in at Motorbase, but Davenport should be a decent addition to the grid. Big fan of the new Handy livery - and the Honda one is better than last year too - albeit I'd have liked more black.

Depper needs more consistency, he has improved since his return in 2014. Davenport is an exciting prospect, hope he does well. Jake Hill will probably be at Team HARD now.

Ant Wharton Eales is one I'm looking forward to seeing do well, the new Honda livery is better than last season's and I notice Mr Austin now has a beard!

I agree about Depper, Davenport & Whorton-Eales, I just really hope Jake still gets a place on the grid. Certainly some good exciting prospects joining the already exciting up & coming drivers like Sutton, Cook, Epps & Hill (you may of guessed who my favourite is )

Is there not a chance that Hill could end up in one of the MGs? If Sutton gets 'recalled' so to speak then surely Hill would be a prime candidate?

Will be interested to see how AWE does in the Audi, we know he is a quick peddler, we know the Audi has one of the best if not the best aero packages on the grid and we know it is quick. A driver who knows how to get the best out of the car should show us its real potential, and hopefully he will deliver it.

Everyone seems shocked that Hill isn't with Motorbase, but how substantiated were those rumours anyway? Just because it would be nice to see and appears to make sense to someone who knows little about Hill or Motorbase, does that legitimise it?

Great to see AWE has a seat though. He's certainly a good driver, and could get some nice results for AmD. Jackson, to his credit, came on at the end of the season (perhaps the car did, I'm no fan of Jackson's driving but he was punching above his weight getting up near or in the top 10), so 2017 could be a good one for that team.

Latest official BTCC podcast is an interview with Jake Hill from today.

Give it a listen, I'll paraphrase some highlights:

"Nothing is signed yet"
"We've got a good bunch of guys in the team"
"Once the car is built we can go testing"
"I'd like everyone to know by the end of January"

Other than the the PMR Astras, there's only one new car being built this year and that team have already announced drivers.

Other cars would have been stripped over the winter and re-built with new RML parts and updated aero, which is what he means when it talks about the car being 'built'

Aren't MG building new cars for this year? They haven't announced any drivers yet.

They were, but not any more. Heard there's been a change of plan.
