LuiggiSpeed should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well I have thought about that indeed, don't know why it can't be done, maybe NASCAR racers are too lazy to turn in both directions, they would be overwhelmed by a direction change and the mechanics would go crazy looking for setup solutions hahaha

Thank you SBF for bumping this thread back into gear. I'm very much looking forward to your improved 8-oval.

Why not just do this? I know, you're looking for high-speed, no big crashes, but come on! Look at this mess!

This is the stuff of nightmares... Who could possibly cope driving in those conditions for 3 hours?

This is crazy. And by that I mean the kind of crazy which Danica Patrick predicted in the now largely deleted interview videos before the eventually aborted 2011 Las Vegas IndyCar race.

I'm going to reignite this thread and I do think that while the figure 8 is a good concept, and I understand your logic, there are a few issues. I really like SBF's concept as well and think that is a better way to fit a crossover on an oval, would be able to fit more track in an arena for the fans, and it would be like having half a lap of Daytona and half of Martinsville speedway. and that got me thinking, it doesn't necessarily have to be 2 ovals right? how many can I do? at the moment I'm at 6 in a star formation.
