No high quality ISDN lines at the circuit, only regular phone lines.

so its the good old 3.4 KHz low pass filter, so thats why their t,f,s sounds sound the same

For the American Le Mans Series, should other means be required to set the grid, the Race Director shall use the best times in the official practice sessions first, unless the Race Director adjudges that the circumstances of the practice sessions were such that the majority of the competitors were unable to set representative times; thereafter they shall use championship

Guessing maybe it has something to do with Christian Zugel? He's in the Genoa car this race instead of his sometimes-ride in the Gunnar car (which I think he owns?).

Probably. RML said he stepped out to give the car a chance at chasing down Level 5, so I wonder if this will pretty much remain this way for the remainder?

Sounds pretty reasonable. I think that the Jeanette/Juilan combo has a shot at doing just that; IMO neither is quite as fast as Bouchut or Wallace but both are far from slow and clearly quicker than Scott Tucker.
