Technically the configuration with the chicane is the full track. It's a few meters longer

For the LMS this makes a lot of sense, because the race is considered a good preparation for Le Mans.

The full track configuration includes the chicane:

Good racing so far, but Grosjean is now under investigation for contact.

Natasha seems to be having problems getting into her car...
And her team mate has pitted as well.

Looks like Natasha problem is with the car.
Bartels is in the lead now.

Not to distract, but I've never understood why their are only two wheel changers.

Can someone tell me a meaning of Pertti Kuismanen behind the wheel of that #12 Vette? That oldman is regularly lapping 5 seconds slower than a leader... and he pairs with GT masters like Gavin and Salo

Without a doubt the moment of the race, an awesome sight seeing those three cars side-by-side in a battle for position.

And kudos for Campbell-Walter for doing that amazing overtake.

When you clear your mind of all politics, it really has been an enjoyable series. Sure the weight balancing has worked out well, but at the end of the day, if the race is good, nothing else matters.

he isn't the owner, he's only bringing the MadCroc sponsorship, btw they are 2 seperate teams, DKR (Maassen/Hezemans) and SRT (Gavin/Kuismanen)

More or less true, I enjoyed the races if I'm honest, the Lambo, Nissan and Corvette battle as someone has already mentioned was breathtaking (it looked so busy from the GT-R's cockpit camera!), I'm sure even the greatest critics of the series would appreciate that bit of action.

However, when the race is over and the dust has settled, one's mind cannot help back drift back to the question of the medium to long term viability of the series or the difficulties in performance balancing.

I thought Piccini had good pace, Bernoldi's comments may have been slightly lost in translation perhaps. I think he may have meant to say Piccini hasn't achieved as much as he has rather than 'he is nothing'. How did Grosjean not get a penalty for avoidable contact?

Anyway, I look forward to watching the cars tackle San Luis.

No excuse for Grosjean, not sure what the justification is not for issuing a penalty when running over the white line on the front straight resulted in one.

The races overall have been very good, better than some other series I can mention.

Not to mention LMS is completely MIA in America.

I think the series is fine and I don't think "balancing" will hurt it at all. Only the hardcore are even bothered by such things. Those just watching and then putting it away until the next event don't really care as long as the show is good.

But Vitaphone has been complaining basically since Race 1 in Dubai that they are down on straight line speed, but are leading the championship with consistency, tire wear and better pit stops. You also forget that they'll get rewards weight again and Matech will get to drop theirs, so we'll what happens then.

I think Marc VDS will go well here considering they ran the car in the same spec and won the LMS race here with Matech getting second, it will be hard to beat them here.
