SPA 24 hrs, 25-26 July
First good news - race will start on the downhill run to Eau Rouge after last year's change.

Since there are no LMS or ALMS conflicts with the Spa 24 hour on July 25 & 26, what are the chances of some of the Corvette Racing guys (Barretta, Gavin, O'Connell, Magnussen or Fassler) showing up in some of the Corvettes racing that weekend? Fassler seems to be the most likely, but it would be nice to see some of the other guys as well.

Would be nice indeed but looking at last year, we're more likely to see some LMS teams joining in rather than ALMS guys. There's an ALMS race a week later just like last year.

ALMS 1 week before...LMS the week after.
So only teams that have lots of budget and a spare car available could in theory do it. But you would also need extra trucks and equipment to get things ready in time. And then there is the timing. Spa 24 finishes on Sunday late afternoon, while the LMS weekend kicks of at Thursday already (due to the race being driven on Saturday evening). As for ALMS teams...there is no GT1 left and what GT2 team would fly their equipment over for just 1 24H event that doesn't have the same status as Le Mans (and even there basically just Risi, Flying Lizard and Corvette Racing show up) |

The Nissan GTR GT1will be back at Spa. Does anyone know who will be joining Turner and Krumm for Spa?? It will be interesting to see how the 2010 cars fare over 24hrs.

when might we expect an entry list? It's not long now. It might persuade me to go.

Marc VDS Racing Team Ford GT will have regulars Bas Leinders and Renaud Kuppens joined by GT3 Matech's guy Eric de Doncker. Last year the Schedules was: ALMS - Mid Ohio July 19 Spa - August 2-3 ALMS - Road America Aug. 9 LMS - Nurburgring Aug. 17 This year: ALMS - Lime Rock - July 18 Spa - July 25-26 LMS - Algarve Aug. 2 ALMS - Mid-Ohio Aug. 8 Biggest change there is LMS being closer to Spa so might not be easy to get LMS teams in there. Last year no ALMS team was in the entry list and probably will be the same this year. There's no LMS race until Algarve so it wouldn't be too far fetched to see teams or drivers at Spa. |

Both Nissan and Ford have good line ups now. I assume there's no entry list yet. It always seems to come out at the last minute!

good news. Those guys were supposed to enter an Aston Martin in the LMS. Would have preferred seeing an Aston but I guess Porsche might be a bit cheaper for them.

For anyone planning on going to Spa for the race, it seems there won't be a Parade preceding the weekend on Wednesday 22nd
http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...ance-1606.html Instead, there will be an autograph session in the paddock on the same day followed by a demonstration by Saab. Access to the circuit will be free Thursday and Friday. |

Mind you that all FIA GT practice and qualifying sessions will take place on Thursday only with no FIA GT action on Friday, just support series qualifying and races.
