Never hide things from hardcore thinkers. They get more aggravated, more provoked by confusion than the most painful truths.
YMR will enter the Chinese cars not Cyan Racing. |

I hope to see some fresh italian blood
Ceccon impressed not only for his score in Suzuka. He seems good for touring car. Giovanardi has recently lamented on facebook various problems on his Giulietta, the same that was apparently afflicted by the same issues in Suzuka in the hands of Ferrara. Reading between the lines, Gio was not happy at all of his car and that provocated the split with his team. Poor Romeo Ferraris had no backing by Alfa, I think they did a decent job this year with all the semi-official teams present in the championship |

Given WRT moves to DTM in 2019, will they remain in WTCR?

Audi confirmed for the 2019 season with WRT and Comtoyou
"The two Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team WRT will again be driven by Gordon Shedden and Jean-Karl Vernay, while Frederic Vervisch will continue to race under the Audi Sport Team Comtoyou banner. Privateer RS3s fielded by the Belgian Comtoyou team will be driven by Nathanael Berthon, Denis Dupont and Aurelien Panis" |

That quote I posted was from the Autosport article and now I'm discovering that the official press of Audi sport customer is different Reading the official press, I understand that only the teams are confirmed! Altough we know that Shedden and Vervish are locked for 2019 with also Vernay likely to stay with them. Maybe Autosport know something more about this story, but the strange fact is that Touringcartimes didn't mention this news...... Could be a case of misunderstanding? |

Farfus will continue with BMW in the WEC. So no WTCR for the 2019 and I fear it's the same for Nicky Catsburg

Farfus will race also with the BMW customer GT3 teams. Both him and Catsuburg seems to have a great commitment with the german marque. Anyway there are a lot of good drivers out there

Farfus ha always had an official BMW status, as a driver. Catsburg maybe had a contractual status different with BMW in the past, so he could race also for other teams. Now he seems to have step up his status as official BMW driver. If they are under contract directly with BMW I find difficult that they can race with other marques. But as I was saying, I could be wrong. It depends from their contracts with BMW... |

Ehrlacher is an interesting talent, just a shame that Honda will lose him in favour of the Link & Co brand.
Surely Honda will have a big shake up. Guerrieri should be their top driver and hopefully Monteiro will return full time driving Girolami has never convinced me in Volvo in WTCC. I think he could suffer in a grid with all these champion coming in 2019 |

Interesting rumour from the article - sporting rules for 2019 may allow maximum 4 cars per manufaturer and no 3-car teams. If that happens, Comtoyou will have to go down to 2 Audis, Munnich to 2 Hondas (maybe they will keep Scheider for the whole season) |

"Lynk & Co did not disclose how many cars it would enter when announcing its programme, but it is thought likely it will add two more cars - sporting rules drafted for next season should allow a maximum of four cars to be entered by TCR brands but will prohibit three-car teams." With Bjork and Muller it would suggest, that 3-car teams are disallowed, but 4-car ones are fine? So this way one team could lock out a single manufacturer's limit. What would happen to BRC then? It makes little sense for me right now. Also the implication could mean, that there are no 1-car teams allowed (2+2 or 4 cars). |
