Why would you shift Slade aside for Hazelwood? A sideways move for the team surely?

Fresh ideas, youthful exuberance, probably cheaper to employ.

Slade is said be co-piloting the #9 next year, and I suspect he'll be doing GT things with Hub Auto again.

I rate Hazelwood, I'm not sure BJR can give him a faster car than MSR, however.

More money coming with him and Youth I expect.
Slade is terribly overrated IMHO, much the same as Percat

It is believed DJR Team Penske were among those interested in signing the Queenslander but the 27-year-old opted to join WAU instead on a multi-year deal.
Mostert has now moved to explain the thought process behind what could be a career defining move.
“The realistic goals and the opportunities that I had available to me, I honestly believe I have picked the best opportunity for myself and that is all I can really say,” Mostert told Speedcafe.com, when asked if DJR Team Penske was among his options in the silly season.

How Chaz saw WAU as a better opportunity is beyond me.

If the stories around BMW alligning with WAU are true, then maybe thats what he wants? $$?

I'm not sure he'd want to play second-fiddle to SM.

Maybe he wants to build WAU around him as #1 driver. As others have said, if he went to DJR-TP, he would have been second fiddle to Scotty Mac. Tickford while have pace with the Mustang, have their resources stretched a little too thin IMHO.

I'd say Chaz will collect a nice fat bank balance next year. If SM heads to the US in 21 and WAU are still floundering. No doubt a performance clause will allow him to move to #17.

You sound pretty sure there....

Common knowledge that they've got another young charger lined up to take the helm if the champ goes Stateside.

Sydney team still not sorted.

If they manage to get a second car on the grid, who's odds-on favourite?

AA reckons there is ‘massive’ commercial support for a Team Sydney operation, with Vodafone and Crown Resorts named as primary brands mentioned.
If you believe their report, the dispute between the Tekno and Salmon groups is who actually has a signed deal with the sponsorship sources...
AA also mentions that discussions were had with GRM around car supply, but that it never went anywhere...

Wonder if Mr Skaife has s involved there somewhere? He was backed by Crown Resorts for a number of years as a pilot, and brought Vodafone back from the dead is his B12H BMW M6....

An ‘IndyCar test’ reported in headlines as such on the front page, turns out to be a simulator test in reality, without on-track running.

If he follows the precedent set by Courtney, then times all that by 10.
And your prediction will be more than largely correct
