Club racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
He's punching the pedal to the floor so assuming something went wrong on the brakes. Cut brake line I heard, plenty of speculation what caused that, but nothing concrete - so probably reasonable and fair not to speculate, or gloat eh....!

It's not like things on racing cars don't break every now and then eh Rev?

Just watching the incar of the crash. And wondering how jm did his shoulder. I think the seat breaks....? It moves a bloody lot from its position. If it is so, then not good for that flavor seat. That's the last thing you want to give way when you hit a wall at 190 kmph.

Brake hose 'failure' was not one of the things being speculated about, so assuming you made that up and are asking for someone on here to confirm it for you. Brake hose 'damage' might be more accurate, given we all know how you love to knock the series at any given opportunity whatsoever.

V8ST OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

Following our own accident investigation into the cause of Car 47 leaving the race track at turn 2 of Powerbuilt Raceway, during last Saturdays official practice session, we are able to confirm the following.

Car 47's right front flexible brake hose, was found to have worn through the stainless steel braid, after coming into repeated contact with the rim of the Aluminium wheel, to the point that the weakened hose, burst at the point of that rubbing contact.

This resulted in the sudden loss of front brake pressure.

I am no engineer or race car builder, far from it, but isn't the location and security of brake hoses fairly elementary?

definatly. having experienced brake line failure due to contact with clip-on wheel weight because incorrect length lines were fitted......... it's pretty uncool. i was lucky i was going uphill when the rear brakes failed.

It seems that the brake hose was tied to the top a arm, wore throght yada yada.

IT was not a long brake hose and it was not anything to do with anything!
