Feasibility of Class One touring cars in Australia
With DTM and SuperGT adopting common touring car regulations in 2019, what is the feasibility of either Supercars or a rival startup adopting this category in the Australasian region?
Potentially it could be very attractive with an instant grid of six manufacturers with stylish coupes (Lexus, Honda, Nissan, BMW, Audi and Aston Martin all confirmed) and likely the ability to add further Mustang and Camaro coupes to make a total of eight manufacturers with 700hp turbocharged four-cylinder ground effects "touring cars". |
