Netspace vs Bigpond
I think that it is interesting the fact that we have Netspace once again sponsoring the V8 Supercar Challenge support races at the grand prix and Bigpond coming on board with the series late last year. Does anyone think that Bigpond where a little shocked with the coverage Netspace where gaining from just the support race at the grand prix, that being their motivation to support the series? Lately there is a bit of this going on with Toll, Linfox, and that other crew (can't remember their name) all getting involved in motor racing.

There is no serious IT money in the sport. Cam McConville managed to bring formerblue chip darling Andersen Consulting to Chris Smerdon's Commodore many years ago... but they havent been spotted in a serious way since.

When you talk of IT, the imagination stretches to SAP, Baan, Compaq, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer, Sony, Monday etc etc etc....
...not ISPs.... |
