I think it lacks complete imagination .
Delighted to see TDS going the Anroak route , and Oak/Anroak/Nicolet becoming a serious privateer manufacturer in their own right , and a good one at that . If Henri had managed his affairs better he could be in this position today ..... sad really . But his name is still around , associated with the Praga/Charouz effort . He just wont lie down ..... Im glad about that . Everyone knows his abortion of an effort regarding that AMR/Pescarolo drone ..... I wish him the very best if this rumour is in fact true . He deserves to bow out at the top of what has become a rather spectacular career ..... be nice to see more drivers forking into their own pockets ..... Ahem Alan !!! |

Gulf will field a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR for Mike Wainwright in ELMS, besides Roald Goethe's AMR car.
It will mark the first time a Porsche has carried the Gulf colors in more than 30 years. That's impressive http://sportscar365.com/elms/gulf-ra...r-gte-program/ |

The comeback the ELMS has made is absolutely stunning, 2012 you could have thought this series was done.
This is great news for sports car racing, especially for the WEC as an European underbody for the World Championship is very important. Looking forward to it |

Too many ferrari's. 19 458 on 29 GT cars. Great quality teams in lmp2 class, better than WEC lmp2 roster.

Not personally a big fan of the mix of GTE and GT3 cars, and I'd be more than happy to watch a 26 car series with just the two other classes. I fear the GT3 cars being taken away from series such as the BES, especially the ART McLarens will be a big loss there. Fortunately, no other entries here will likely make a big impact on that series, apart from maybe a few of the AF Corse privateers.
It's impressive growth though, and having double the number of P2 entries for the European series compared to the global series is a big triumph and shows that they're doing the right thing. Shame to see no Tiga or Pilbeam on there, but the variety is quite nice already and hopefully these can add a bit of colour later in the season. Hopefully plans such as the Caterham entry, JMW and the Boutsen-Ginion car won't be affected by being unable to get a definite Le Mans spot and the majority of the grid shows up at most events. |

Its quite a rather really succesfull entry list, but mainly the problem is that not a lot of teams can afford a global champ, so the "mono-continental" series are the ones that grow for that reason. |

Revelation of the day for me. Really pleased to see the ELMS generating some positive buzz. Can not wait for Silverstone.

They also mentioned that it was a bit quite lately around Woodard and DKR Engineering. http://www.dailysportscar.com/?p=22948 Also no entry from Abu Dhabi Racing and that foreign team using a Corvette. But perhaps they will come later, still some time left till the first race. |

Without wishing any entry withdrawals from the WEC, I sincerely hope that the ELMS can continue to grow and become the perfect feeder series. RAM Racing is the perfect model of this. |

Not sure if anyone knows this but I'll ask anyway.
1. what exactly is the GTC category? is it for GT3 cars? 2. if so, is it possible to 'upgrade' one of these to GT2? 3. would it be too much work for that to be feasible? Basically I'm wondering if it'd be worth anyone's time/effort/money to turn the Audi or McLaren (or a Lambo - I'd love a Lambo to come back, let's be honest JLOC were about as competent as if they'd just got 'some guys' to help out - no disrespect intended to them, I love JLOC, but they were awful) into a Le Mans worthy GT2 car. |

2. Practically speaking, no. JLOC tried to do it with the Lamborghini Gallardo and failed miserably. The homologations are much different for the two classes. Audi was rumored to be considering an R8 GTE, but changed their minds (probably too much trouble for too few customers). Mclaren I think was developing the MP4-12C GTE separately from the GT3 version before it got canceled. |

Nissian has quite the monopoly on P2 powerplants. It is nice to see the ELMS gain a very respectable grid. The 5 ELMS races + Le Mans seems to be a much better model for European privateers.
