I do apologise. I may have shouted for a while there, first when Verstappen slowed down and then again when Perez stopped.
What a great race! Proof that the cars can (a) follow and (b) overtake. I enjoyed that! |

I'd argue that race by itself has gone some way to rehabilitating F1 in a lot of people's minds.

Good drive by Zhou, not too far from Bottas the whole race, and got himself a point with Red Bull's collapse.

My thoughts...
* It does look like the cars are able to race each other. However I also think we are seeing a wide range of performance. The late race safety car and reliability issues created a dramatic finish that otherwise might not have happened. * Well deserved 1-2 for Ferrari. They seem to have a great package and great driver lineup. Likely the ones to beat this year with Red Bull not far behind. * Bad luck for Honda power units and Red Bull in general. It will be interesting to see what they have to say as to the causes. * Mercedes was gifted the podium today as they were quite far back before the safety car. Lets see how quickly Mercedes is able to resolve their issues. * Russell seemed to do well vs. Hamilton today. * Awesome race for Magnussen once he figured out his turn one braking point. * I am sure Haas will party tonight. I hope they are able to keep this form for the remainder of the season. * I felt really bad for both McLaren and Williams. * Great F1 debut for Guanyu Richard |

Bad luck for Red Bull? Maybe….or bad preparation? You make your own luck I guess Russell did well no doubt. Still a couple of tenths off Hamilton but that’s to be expected Mercedes gifted a podium? Yes and no…I mean, you’ve got to finish all the laps…that’s racing…always has been, always will be. It’s funny, been watching season reviews over the winter. I think we’ve got used to how reliable the cars are these days. Up until 2007/8 it wasn’t unusual for half the cars not to finish. ‘Gifting’ a finish to someone didn’t come into the conversation, it was part of the norm Not sure what was wrong with Mclaren and Williams this weekend, I hope it’s track specific because I had them far higher in my pecking order than the results show. I do think it will be tight from mid pack back this year though so I expect that to change from track to track |

Oh also another thought. Think a lot of credit has to go to Ross Brawn today. Put a guy like him in charge, someone that truly understands the cars and you can come up with a rule set that challenges engineers while keeping racing close. Signs are good

Mercedes have dropped the ball performance wise. Red bull have dropped the ball reliability wise. That’s racing! Both teams have homework to do FORZA FERRARI! I expect both teams to come back strong, probably red bull first then Mercedes’ once they get over their issues I hope ferrari keep on winning until that point to make this season a close fight |

That's exactly my thoughts, exciting when they remembered it's the FKING cars we're watching, stop with the whole the f is that random guy trackside shots when cars are attempting overtakes. Unfortunately they forgot for most of the middle of the race and I actually fell asleep a bit but I'm tired and was up early. Beginning and end better but still some of the gratuitous trackside shots.

Zhou seems to have been caught out/too tentative at the start, as he dropped to the very back, but recovered well, with an assured drive. |

I think this is a better approach than Tsunoda last year. Softly does it to begin with then build up rather than Banzai and have to tune down

Even about a half dozen laps after the 2 round stops (I believe) where they didn’t even have the leader board on the screen. do we have to get a subscription to know how many laps of a race have been run lol. seriously though, they must have having technical problems? |

Lol I was pleasantly suprised at the lack of info far better IMHO along with only a few driver radios.
Less is more IMHO |

Delayed audio isn’t my cup of tea so the fewer clips the better imo. Personal preference of course but for me I prefer more data driven presentation.
