You all seem to have forgotten that the HYL programme will be bigger and better this year and should be up the pointy end. Once of course they name their drivers, This series this year should produce some good racing with a lot of young hard chargers showing their stuff, might actually see some passing.

I thought that the ex Bargwanna banana was the not so good car. The Tander car should be ok.

Tony D'Alberto will surprise too. The car is a good one, and with the engineering talent on staff at IRCA, all should bode well for a strong season.
This should be Matthew White's year... but this depends on how strong his budget is, and how much of a distraction running the Verdnik Commodore is on his own assault. |

Bugger forgot to ask who the Brute driver is that I was told.
McFayden may not be a starter. |

I thought Team Dynamik where going to buy a VX for McFayden and run it themselves. He has been mentioned on here as running for IRCA but they have denied that.

I doubt Dynamik would have the budget to do that, they still have the VX engines from the time Simon Wills ran in the Konica series so could swap engine supply for driver talent?
Or indeed convert the #44 VY back to VX... |

Yes, but with Alan Draper's magic, they might generate enough grunt to get out of their own way.

As much as he thinks the seat is a good fit and the view is good from there, Grant Doulman is probably good for another year of Formula Ford before he straps on a V8 Supercar.

I aggree Adam,I find it strange that Grant Doulman is going into the V8's after one season in state FF and struggled to get into the top ten. He at least needs one more year in FF because he has a lot to learn yet.

Now be careful you guys, when I suggested a similar situation existed 12months ago about the new raw talent unearthed by HYL, many people jumped a long way down my throat.
Funny the family connections to HSV of that driver, and he definately would have been better off doing a year of national FF. As for Grant, mightve been a case of an expensive upgrade to be competitive in new FF or race Bobs Commodore thats just lying around at the workshop. But yes, he too would be better off with a little more experience. |

Has anybody heard anything about a possible Konica team out of Newcastle. Supposed to be rumours of a new driver possibly from I.P. running out of Qld too. Maybe it is with an established team up here.

Wes May has/had a VS Commodore based in the Hunter, and was rumoured to be looking to step up to a VX, but we havent seen the car for a year now....

At least Wes May should be able to get some cheap Dunlop tyres.
