Looking at companies house check this isn’t a Tony Gilham company. Lists as ‘Samual Cowan’ I think just a misunderstanding as clearly looks like would resemble Gilham’s initials

Always love seeing new liveries, like the extra shade of blue on the Scoobys. Interesting colours from AJ

That's one heck of a splitter.

In the end, the sills are much slimmer than other cars. Overall, some strange and trick aero details.

if that splinter really works 2 things will happen
A) the other teams will copy it
B) TOCA will ban it

isn't really weird that WSR and Speedworks ended up with same colors ?

Won't stop people assuming it is Tony's company - as has already happened many times in the past.

The more I look at Ingram's car, the more I think he was going to stick with last year's livery, but only had a dark blue bumper available.

Anyway, the Subarus look very smart. Best livery they've had. I'm still not a fan of Austin's Alfa in green - that has the potential to be a great looking car, but not in that livery! The MG's look great. Sure the livery isn't classy or anything, but it's bold and (most of all) memorable. Fair play to Mr Hollamby for trying something different.

Big fan of Oliphant's livery. Nice and understated. I was expecting to like Norlin's too - but it looks a bit less tidy than last year, which is a shame as that looked really decent.

I know it’s not the be all and end all of lap times today but it’s good to see Tordoff straight back on the pace and Cammish and Thompson in the 15 1m10s laps.

Rob Austin fastest from Chilton and Turkington this afternoon. Ingram 9th, Sutton 20th, Cammish only 0.015 off Neal...!

Looks like dynamics are trying something clever with their exhausts heating the rear tyres as the ends of the exhaust are covered by the side skirts

Look at the picture of the dynamics civic closer the ends of the exhaust are covered which says to me they are using them to push the heat backwards to aid rear tyres

Very clever indeed. No wonder the bodywork was a big deal, so much work has clearly gone into it.

Maybe to help the cold rear tyre issues that always seemed to catch the civic out especially at paddock hill bend at brands hatch

Well, that'll warm ONE of them up, unless they've gone and built it with a pipe each side, but even then, with the exhaust being split, and only half the heat coming out each side, I can't see it being much of an advantage

If it does work, it could become a disadvantage in the back half of a race, especially at somewhere like Thruxton or Rockingham.

It could just be to pretty the sides up

I guess that's that for silly season. The only remaining question is; how long 'til someone starts a 2019 thread? 😁

New Civic looks great, the livery is nice evolution of last year's design. BMW's look really smart and Jordan's is a nice change. Cicely Merc's look good and even the Alfa looks better in the flesh.

Team Hard cars look like a pack of Clio racers, not enough continuity to appear as a team. Ingram has managed to keep up the trend of crap liveries and the Astras almost look like they're running army camo.

Until we know what the heck that company is, we'll still wonder that!

Edit, it's a prestige car dealer in Retford.

Despite the British weather trying to spoil the party again, it was a fairly enjoyable day at Donington for the Media Day. There seamed to be a lot less people there than in last few years which meant a more relaxed feel to the day.

Sum of the liveries are very samey samey, as others have said the Dynamics is very underwhelming and as it is so similar to the EuroTech cars its almost impossible to tell them apart until they are really close to you.

Anyway here my vid from the days action if anyone interested:
