Last year it was a big marketing scam, collecting information, on how many 10s of thousands of V8 fans? Oooops, did I say that?

Ask RaceTime. I think the formula was:

Crowd Figures: ((how many people paid to get in + officials + media and other freebys)/0) + a good number...

Canberra last year they gave away 20,000 corporate passes and about 1 in 4 of them gets used, ie 5000.
But then I walked in without a pass so you can add 1 more to the dodgy figures!

Ditto with Indy last year- I walked through the gates unchecked on three out of the four days...

In Adelaide they were scanning passes in but not out, thats where they get the record crowds from.
