Fastest laps scores after Europe
Last time I put this statistic was after Imola. I give points according to rank of fastest lap in race (1st = 19, 2nd = 18, ... , 20th = 0).
When a driver has not raced in all races, I scale his points proportionately. The second number is number of GP raced. Asterisk means driver with 50% or less races. For teams, I have put 0 points for BAR in its two out races. The secnod number is the average discounting the 25% best scores and 25% worst scores to avoid random events (ej. Webber in Nurburgring). Code:
*Rosa McLaren 133 1 Alonso Renault 120 7 *Wurz McLaren 119 1 Raikkonen McLaren 119 7 Mschumacher Ferrari 106 7 Heidfeld Williams 88 7 Montoya McLaren 87 5 Trulli Toyota 86 7 Button BAR 85 5 Fisichella Renault 84 7 Barrichello Ferrari 83 7 Rschumacher Toyota 83 7 Webber Williams 67 7 Sato BAR 63 4 Coulthard RBR 63 7 Massa Sauber 57 7 Luzzi RBR 54 4 Villeneuve Sauber 47 7 *Klein RBR 44 3 Kartykeyan Jordan 26 7 Monteiro Jordan 25 7 *Davidson BAR 14 1 Albers Minardi 14 7 Friesacher Minardi 13 7 Renault 204 16.3 McLaren 217 16.1 Ferrari 189 14.0 Toyota 169 12.4 Williams 155 11.5 BAR 99 10.0 RBR 113 8.1 Sauber 104 7.1 Jordan 51 3.4 Minardi 27 1.8

Why did you *scale* the points for drivers that missed one or more races, while *not scaling* the points for teams that missed one or more races?
If BAR would have 139 in its first column, the table make a lot more sense imho. |

Because it was BAR's technical fault and I think it would be unfair to treat it as if they had not done that error.
Anyway, I have ranked teams by second column, that discount those "anomalies". Drivers who don't race a GP is not usually his fault in terms of driving. I have done also a "discounted" version for drivers, but I have not written it because I thought it was too much numbers in a post! Thanks for your commentaries. Next time I'll put more data than I have this time. |

In fact the discount appears in teams table, but I have not put the discounted score in drivers table. I´ll put it the next time to make things more informative.
