NSW State Championships RD6. Farewell Oran Park !!!
Here it is, The last ever NSW state championship at Oran Park. It is on next weekend Oct 31st/Nov 1st.
With most classes expecting near capacity grids there should be at least 300 cars at the meeting. I am getting very excited waiting for this weekend. Hopefully the car will be great and we can have a trouble free run. Lots of cars so it should be very interesting in the middle of the pack. I will install the video camera so hopefully there will be some good viewing.
I havnt seen the list for combined touring. Doin has got the 626 up and running after blowing the engine at the last roundand is looking forward to holding onto second spot in the state championship. I get a corner of the trophy if he does as I drove the car in the enduros. |

Was a great weekend, big fields and some great racing!! Well done to all the competitors!!
But what was with the comentator at the end of the day saying "This is the last race ever at Oran Park!!" Repeated it about half a dozen times!, when earlier in the day they announced a "Farewell" meeting on the Australia day weekend next year to be co run by the NSWRRC and OP! Also there is a irace meet there in a few weeks and a MRA meeting in December! Really wish they would get their facts right before blabbing on over the PA, thats how mis-information starts!

It was the Last State Championship Race Meeting - but we all know how commentators love to tweak the facts to sound more dramatic
 The Farewell Meeting is more of a Butchers Picnic.... run what you brung sort of thing. No doubt it will be packed out with entrants. |
